Kempinski Magazine now interactive for the iPad

In co-operation with the technology partner Weptun, managed by Dominik Ueblacker, balleywasl* engineered an iPad App for the Kempinski Magazine which in future is to be applied equally to other magazines of the publishing house. balleywasl* has opted for a mix between eMagazine and interactive links because it constitutes a user-friendly yet affordable solution for companies with a smaller budget.

"We are pursuing a balanced technological approach, combining editorial re-use and App-specific content", says the initiator, Albert Wasl, whose agency and publishing house had the App developed of its own accord and who therefore will be independently marketing it. "We believe that an App, due to the growing number of owners of mobile devices, has become a mandatory, rather than an optional feature." At the same time, the agency founder knows that the marketing success depends on the download figures. "Which is why the customer and the publishing agency are both called on to work closely together and to promote the App via all channels." Stand-up displays in hotel rooms are to draw attention to the App for the Kempinski Magazine, in addition to pointers on the websites and social media platforms.

With the App for the Kempinski Magazine, balleywasl* is further expanding its activities and competencies in the field of mobile online marketing and in the near future wants to extend this offer to include the Android operating system.

The App is ready to be downloaded from the App Store as of now.

The current issue can be found at www.kempinskimagazine.com as an eMagazine.
