Curiosity drives us

Albert Wasl’s career in the communication industry began in private radio after receiving his intermediate diploma in industrial engineering. After a year with Radio Charivari in Munich, he took on a job in conception and sales consulting at Munich’s Novamedia GmbH, a company specialising in the development and production of broadcasting concepts.

The foundation stone for the agency was laid with the formation of Wasl & Partner GmbH in 1989. Parallel to running the agency, Albert Wasl attended the Bayerischen Akademie der Werbung (Bavarian Academy of Advertising) and obtained his bachelor's degree in communications. Assigned Sony Professional for his final assessment, he earned top marks with a pitch in which service played a crucial role. Still a fledgling, the agency won the Mercedes Auto-Henne (a major Daimler AG dealership) account in 1990. In 1993, the agency executed the opening campaign for the Kempinski Hotel Airport Munich, paving the way to an expertise in the hospitality industry that remains a core area of business for the agency to this day.

Over the next two decades, Albert Wasl built up the agency, successfully sharpening its permanent profile as a strategic full-service communications consultancy. Asked to sum up what he brings to the table, the company founder says: curiosity, passion and creativity.
